Annsley Strong

More importantly, they bring you comfort and promote your most creative instincts." Now based in the Pasadena, CA area, Annsley Strong received her BA in the History of Art from Wheaton College in 1969 and studied design at the New York School of Interior Design, New York City, and the Interior Designers' Guild, Beverly Hills, CA. In 1984 she opened her own business and has been in the interior design business ever since.

In the last six years the business has centered on both the construction and total remodels of properties outside of Los Angeles. As a result, she has worked from the ground up on original plans, creative redesigns and total remodels, coordinating the goals of architects, city planners, builders, budgets and the various resale markets. The body of work reflects both the challenges of different locations' external demands and the requirements of responding to internal spaces.

In 2006, Ms. Strong became a certified Home Staging Expert(r) (HSE) and, as her daughter joins her, adds this and redesign to the scope of their business in 2007.

Courtney Strong Thomas
Co-Founder/Lead Designer

Ms. Thomas approaches design with the belief that "the design and/or redesign of any space should not be limited by budget, time or lifestyle changes." Building on her Home Staging Expert (HSE) certification and attendance of New York City's Parson's School of Design, Ms. Thomas brings a new perspective to Strong Studio Designs, helping to expand its services into home staging and redesign. "Your home should be your sanctuary, but, often, with a multi-functional purpose, it's hard to know where to start and how to organize. That's where we come in." Ms. Thomas, a communications graduate from New York University, comes from a strong, focused background in both business and design. In 2001, she co-founded the New York-based company, New York Movie Tours, Inc. and while co-managing day-to-day operations for her tour company, she also organized the company's public relations and marketing. For the last 2 years, she has devoted her time to the pursuit of design, remodeling homes in Vermont and redesigning apartments in the greater Los Angeles area. Her goal for Strong Studio Designs is to combine the business practices of her past experiences with the passion and talent of her present design concepts.
